New(ish) Illustration style!

This is my newest illustration style. It is based off of my previous work (of course). And those of you that know my style vaguely might not be able to tell a difference. Basically I am using multiple mediums on top of each other, in addition to various patterns to make texture. It is also leaning towards children’s illustration which was my overall goal, sort of combining it all into something childlike.
I am really excited about this and am planning on making ALOT more!

A Day off!
So today I took a day off to kind of recuperate from being a bit burnt out on logo design. I worked on some art and read, it was a really good day.
Prince was really siked about me being home and hung out with me on the balcony for a little while. There were some kids playing and he was very tempted to bark at them. He kept looking at them and then looking at me like I needed to give him permission to act a fool.
I also watched a couple movies that were really good. (Girly ones of course) I rented The Reader with Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes. Which was really very good. It bothered me that the young Ralph Fiennes didn’t do anything for Kate Winslet when she was on trial and obviously lying, but I guess it made for an interesting plot. I will prolly watch it again, which I usually don’t do with rented movies.
I also watched Nights in Rodanthe, which was your typical Diane Lane second chance movie. It made me cry, so it must be good right? Slight twist at the end, but you do kinda see it coming. It’s by the same author that wrote The Notebook, so you can get the gist. Richard Gear is really getting up there in age!
This is a children’s book illustration style I am working on. I am trying to build portfolio pieces that are appropriate for a story and yet still tie into my fine art pieces that I am also working on. Color might be done with watercolor, but I am not sure on that one.

Portrait Pricing
This is a price list that I made up a few years ago for a portrait flyer I did for myself to advertise. The image is a portrait I did for a friend and liked doing it so much I decided to try marketing my talents. All prices are listed without the price of framing and would basically be mailed in a tube with no matting or anything, just the drawing. If you are interested, let me know!
